Event: 'Kalanjali Kuwait – UGADI CARNIVAL'

Kalanjali Kuwait, a well-known Indian Association, registered with Embassy of India, Kuwait, is an independent and non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of Fine Arts from India.

Kalanjali Kuwait has the reputation of presenting the most popular artists to the residents of Kuwait in the past including Carnatic Concert by Dr. M Bala Murali Krishna, Ghazal Concert by Sri Anup Jalota, Musical Nite by Mukesh, Kalpana & Compeer by B H Abdul Hameed, Whistle Concert by Sri Elapata Siva Prasad, Musical Nite by Smt. Vijayalakshmi, Miss Malavika, Sri Samson “Mukesh”, Sri Mohamed Irfan (Star Amul Voice of India fame & Zee Sa Re Ga Ma fame), Sri G V Prabhakar, Tamil Drama by Sri S Ve Shekher, Flute Concert by Dr. Padmesh, Carnatic Concert by Ajay Warrier, Drums Concert by Youngest Drummer in the World - Master Siddharth, Ganithavadhani by Youngest Mathematician in the World - Master Nischal, Memory & Vedic Maths Classes by Mr. Sai Kiran and conducted local programs including Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai (Prove your Talent), Sa Re Ga Ma (with over 169 local participants), Indian Carnival 2009, Picnics, Paattukku Paattu by Sri B H Abdul Hameed & Musical Nite by Mukesh (well-known Tamil Film Singer) and Kalpana (well-known Tamil & Telugu film singer), T-20 Summer Cricket Tournament (Conducted every year, to coincide with India’s Independence Day), Champions Trophy T20 (presently going on), to name a few. On 30th Oct 2009, we conducted our 5th Anniversary with Sri Suman (film star) as the Chief Guest.

Kalanjali Kuwait plans to organize Carnival & Musical Nite of Sri KOTI, on 26th March 2010, in American International School – Maidan Hawally, on the occasion of UGADI – Telugu New Year’s Day. Sri Koti with his troupe from Hyderabad will present some of his hits.

Kalanjali plans to conduct “Painting Competition” for school children & adults, as well as “RANGOLI Competition” for ladies, “Salad Cutting Competitions” for MEN during this occasion.

There will be an Inter-School “Youth Festival Competition” among the Indian School Children. Schools interested in participating can contact us.
